Northland Smiles is your go-to for NW Calgary Family Dentistry, dedicated to providing your entire family with the care and knowledge needed for a lifetime of healthy smiles!

We welcome patients of all ages at our clinic. We’re passionate about creating a warm, gentle, and comfortable environment for our young patients because we believe that visiting the dentist should be a positive experience. Our dental team is focused on building trusting relationships with your child, understanding that early dental experiences shape how they view dental care as adults. Research shows that children with positive dental visits are more likely to continue regular check-ups into adulthood.

We invite you to visit our NW Calgary Family Dentistry practice and meet our team before scheduling your first appointment. We want you to feel confident in choosing Northland Smiles as your family’s dental home from day one.

Please ensure that you bring your dental insurance cards along with your plan details. Our office administrators will do their best to help you understand your coverage details and whether your plan allows for the assignment of benefits.

Regular check-ups are crucial for maintaining a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles for you and your entire family! At Northland Smiles, we believe in the importance of consistent dental visits to ensure that your oral health stays in top condition.

For patients of all ages, these check-ups allow us to catch any potential issues early, before they become bigger problems. For our younger patients, regular visits help create a friendly, gentle, and comfortable experience that sets the stage for a positive attitude toward dental care. Early positive experiences are key, as they build trust and help your child view dental visits as an important and enjoyable part of life. Research shows that children who have regular, positive dental experiences are more likely to continue with routine check-ups into adulthood, leading to better long-term oral health.

We encourage you to visit our NW Calgary Family Dentistry practice and meet our team to see how we can support your family’s dental health. Regular check-ups are the foundation of a healthy smile, and we’re here to ensure you feel confident in making Northland Smiles your trusted dental home.

Absolutely! Dental emergencies often come without warning and can be a very stressful time for everyone involved. If someone in your family experiences a dental emergency, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to determine the best course of action to help them. We offer same-day emergency appointments because providing you with pain relief is one of our top priorities.

We consider a dental emergency to be any situation where you are experiencing pain or discomfort in your teeth, gum tissue or surrounding bone and jaw joints. If you are experiencing pain from a sudden or a lingering toothache, fracture or knock-out tooth, or have been involved in an accident that involves your teeth and/or jaw should be treated by a dentist immediately.

Dental insurance benefits are used to help our patients cover some or all of the cost associated with their dental care. Not all dental insurance plans are the same which makes it important for you to understand your specific plan details before your appointment.

Most dental plans cover some, but not all of the cost of your dental care. The dental fees billed at Northland Smiles for our services are the usual and customary fees charged to all our patients, whether you have dental insurance or not.

Your particular policy may cover treatments and services at a fixed fee schedule, which typically does not coincide with our usual fees. In these cases, here the difference in fees not covered by your insurance company becomes your responsibility to pay and will be invoiced to you once we receive payment from your dental plan.

Our Dental Administration Team is happy to provide you with a detailed treatment plan outlining the associated costs to help you budget for each appointment accordingly. We can also prioritize your treatments so that you can tend to the most urgent dental needs as soon as possible, and plan further treatments over time.
